Here’s some stuff I’ve experienced lately (and not necessarily only new releases):
3 Body Problem (TV): Still early in my viewing, but very much enjoying
Dune: Part Two (Movie): Breathtaking and fantastic
Manhunt (TV): I had no idea Edwin Stanton was such a badass!
In Restless Dreams: The Music of Paul Simon (Movie): He’s probably my favorite artist ever, so I found this completely riveting
Shōgun (TV): Really stunning, and super intense
The Program: Cons, Cults, and Kidnapping (TV): Completely nuts that this happened (and I have no doubt is still happening)
American Fiction (Movie): Pretty fantastic, I’m a huge Jeffrey Wright fan
Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV (TV): Hard yikes
The Regime (TV): This show is so incredibly weird, and I’m very much here for it
Road House (Movie): It had impossible shoes to fill, but was definitely entertaining
Palm Royale (TV): Promising so far, and fills the Swans-shaped hole in my life
Napoleon (Movie): Fine, but generally forgettable
House of Hammer (TV): Only one episode in, and I’m already terrified to learn about the rest of the family
The Bloody Hundredth (Movie): Had to follow up Masters of The Air with the IRL version
Dalíland (Movie): Decent, but I liked the documentary better
The Pacific (TV): Just started this after finishing the other two, but I have no doubt I’ll tear through it
Play The Flute (Movie): My wife and her cousins got me once again
