Yes, this will kick the Trumpist propaganda machine into extreme overdrive.
Yes, his rage tweets will now be even more relentless and soul-draining.
Set all of that aside for a minute.
What just happened matters.
After relentless pressure (and most importantly, a truly heroic whistleblower), we just impeached a President for only the third time in American history.
Regardless of what shakes out (and I tend to err on the side of fatalism), we’ve given a truly terrible man a permanent political black eye.
Take a minute to cheer before we head back into battle. It’s incredibly encouraging to see that this great country has some fight left in ‘er yet. 🇺🇸
