Media Diary (July 2018)

Some things I’ve enjoyed lately, in no particular order, and not necessarily only recent stuff:

Mission: Impossible — Fallout (Movie): Really fun, and I feel like this series is somehow getting better and better over time

Who Is America? (TV): I can’t look away

Ant-Man and The Wasp (Movie): Loved it, especially as an Infinity War chaser

Sharp Objects (TV): Amy Adams rules

Dark Tourist (TV): Just started this, but it’s right up my alley

Wedlock (Podcast): New to this as well, but it has some fascinating conversations and interviews about marriage

City of Gold (TV): What a fascinating life he had

The Vietnam War (TV): Slooooowly making my way through this as it’s a big undertaking, but it’s riveting

Won’t You Be My Neighbor? (Movie): The world needs a lot more people like Fred Rogers

Believer (TV): An interesting exploration of the relationship between the Mormon church and its LGBTQ members (from the lead singer of Imagine Dragons)

A Quiet Place (Movie): Late to the game on this one, but thumbs up

Castle Rock (TV): So far, so good

The 2000s (TV): I like these CNN decade documentaries generally, but this one in particular really resonates

Bobcat Goldthwait’s Misfits & Monsters (TV): What else do you need to know?

Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee (TV): I’ve been a fan since the beginning, and remain one through this new season

My Spotify playlist creation pace slowed a bit this month, but I made a few new ones:

July 2018: A New Hope

July 2018: Rogue Nation

July 2018: The Voyage Home
