Media Diary (February 2019)

Some things I’ve enjoyed lately, in no particular order, and not necessarily only recent stuff:

Russian Doll (TV): Amazing and unique

The Dropout (Podcast): Put it in my veins (pun intended)

Mandy (Movie): A balls-out insane pick from my wife’s watchlist

ReMastered: The Two Killings of Sam Cooke (TV): I hadn’t known much about Cooke’s tragic story, but man what a song catalog

Over My Dead Body (Podcast): A compelling story of divorce and murder

Breslin and Hamill: Deadline Artists (Movie): My dream career is now ’70s journalist

The Keepers (TV): Late to this, but it’s already hooked me

Should This Exist? (Podcast): A great new podcast examining radical emerging technologies

Behind The Curve (Movie): Just like Scientology docs, keep the insane “Flat Earther” material coming

Driven To Kill: Harold Shipman (TV): I wasn’t familiar with this British serial killer doctor

What Next (Podcast): A new daily podcast in my rotation

Hereditary (Movie): Not gonna lie, this was disturbing

Larry Charles’ Dangerous World of Comedy (TV): A really interesting look at how comedy is treated around the globe

Alt-Right: Age of Rage (Movie): Should be mandatory viewing

Lorena (TV): We all remember the ol’ penis, but the full story was fascinating

Abducted in Plain Sight (Movie): So, so troubling on many, many fronts

Weird City (TV): So far, so good, like a Diet Black Mirror

RBG (Movie): What a powerhouse
