Media Diary (November 2019)

Some things I’ve experienced lately, in no particular order, and not necessarily only recent stuff:

Knives Out (Movie): The most fun I’ve had in a theater in a long time

For All Mankind (TV): This show got lost in the shuffle of the new streaming service launches, but it’s great

The Official Watchmen Podcast (Podcast): A fantastic companion

The Irishman (Movie): Yeah it’s incredibly long, but totally worth it

The Imagineering Story (TV): Sure, I’m paying to watch a documentary about Disney on a Disney streaming service like an idiot, but man is this compelling

You Must Remember This (Podcast): I listen to this on and off depending on the topic, but I’m all over this latest batch covering the controversial history of Song of The South

Doctor Sleep (Movie): Enjoyed this, and it really delivers for superfans of the terrifying naked old lady in room 237

The Mandalorian (TV): Some pretty amazing moments, plus a life-changing Werner Herzog/Carl Weathers combo

Bikram: Yogi, Guru, Predator (Movie): Still can’t move past the bold Speedo/gold Rolex look

The World According to Jeff Goldblum (TV): Everything I needed it to be

The Morning Show (TV): The reviews have been pretty lukewarm, but I’ve found it to be entertaining overall

Apollo 11 (Movie): Amazing to see all of this footage

His Dark Materials (TV): I’m on the fence, but sticking with this for now

The Toys That Made Us (TV): Back with more episodes to inject right into my veins
