Media Diary (December 2020)

Some stuff I’ve experienced lately (and not necessarily only new releases):

Mank (Movie): Enjoyed this, which of course led me back to…

Citizen Kane (Movie): It had been a while, and it still (of course) rules

The Sopranos (TV): Slowly but surely correcting the embarrassing fact that I never watched this

Zappa (Movie): What a wild journey

Wonder Woman 1984 (Movie): Eh, it was fine

Soul (Movie): Enjoyed it, but this tweet about sums up my take

Heaven’s Gate: The Cult of Cults (TV): I feel like the castration proposal should’ve set off a few more flags

F For Fake (Movie): Orson in a sweet cloak is my spirit animal

An American in Paris (Movie): That guy can dance

The Bee Gees: How Can You Mend a Broken Heart (Movie): Raised my respect level

The Stand (TV): Started a little slow, but I’m on board

The Last Blockbuster (Movie): Really want to make a pilgrimage

The Road To Wellville (Movie): Hadn’t seen this in years, and it’s still incredibly weird…

Nothing But Trouble (Movie): Not as weird as this absolute legend though

Alabama Snake (Movie): Fascinating and creepy

Gaslight (Movie): Young. Angela. Lansbury.

Happy Happy Joy Joy: The Ren & Stimpy Story (Movie): Interesting story, wouldn’t want to have worked there

My Octopus Teacher (Movie): Can’t believe he took that night dive (shudder)

Belushi (Movie): Tragic

My Psychedelic Love Story (Movie): I’d be annoyed by these people in seconds

Run (Movie): Pretty solid, can never go wrong with Sarah P.

Baby God (Movie): Liberties were taken
