Media Diary (May 2022)

Some stuff I’ve experienced lately (and not necessarily only new releases):

We Own This City (TV): Gripping and maddening, as many of the best things are

Meltdown: Three Mile Island (TV): Speaking of maddening…

The Offer (TV): Soooo entertaining!

Ozark (TV): Big thumbs up for how they brought this to a close

Everything Everywhere All at Once (Movie): Incredibly creative

Obi-Wan Kenobi (TV): Hello there!

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (TV): A vibrant and fun throwback

Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness (Movie): Enjoyed it, but felt a bit like the second season of WandaVision

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent (Movie): Exactly what I needed it to be

The Essex Serpent (TV): Just started, but on paper at least this is basically my wife’s dream show premise

The Deep End (TV): I was vaguely familiar with Teal Swan (from a podcast maybe?), but obv this is right up my alley

Pachinko (TV): Early on, but super impressed at the sheer scale of this project

Men (Movie): So…that ending, huh?

Hacks (TV): Glad to have this back, both of the leads are amazing

My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman (TV): I always enjoy these new interview batches, especially if I know little to nothing about the person

Atlanta (TV): Consistently great

Made For Love (TV): Such a weird little show, but I continue to follow along
