Media Diary (November 2024)

Here’s some stuff I’ve experienced lately (and not necessarily only new releases). In addition, our free Stream Team community has a lot more daily action happening on the recommendations front too. 💪

The Substance (Movie): Weeks later, I’m still thinking about this

Say Nothing (TV): Still just halfway through, but I find it absolutely gripping

Long Island Compromise (Book): Almost done with this, but an amazing peek at a modern American family

Wicked (Movie): Honestly no notes, it was everything I wanted from it after waiting 20 years

Silo (TV): Thrilled to be going back in

Conclave (Movie): Great performances all around, some solid pope battling

Anthony Jeselnik: Bones and All (Movie): Easily one of my favorite comedians

Somebody Somewhere (TV): One of the best shows on TV just keeps getting better every week

Heretic (Movie): Definitely worth a watch for Hugh alone

Gladiator II (Movie): By no means essential, but I’ll tell Maximus I was entertained

Before (TV): Didn’t think I’d be enjoying Billy Crystal investigating the paranormal, but here we are

Woman of The Hour (Movie): Very well done, and I can’t believe the dude went on national TV

Dune: Prophecy (TV): Just starting this, but I’m definitely along for the ride

Saturday Night (Movie): Light and fun, what a wild night

Into The Fire: The Lost Daughter (TV): A tragic story, but the birth mother is relentless

Money Electric: The Bitcoin Mystery (Movie): Fascinating to see the motley crew involved, curious if the documentary did indeed pick the right guy

Endurance (Movie): Think I’m cool not going to the South Pole

The Bubble: A Documentary Film About Celebration, Florida (Movie): SUPER low-budge, mostly just an option if you’re looking for a quick peek into this insane situation
