Here’s some stuff I’ve experienced lately (and not necessarily only new releases). In addition, our free Stream Team community has a lot more daily action happening on the recommendations front too. 💪
Dept. Q (TV): Super surprised by how much I enjoyed this, kind of an X-Files meets Silence of The Lambs vibe
The Phoenician Scheme (Movie): Wes is gonna Wes, but I thought this was one of his better recent entries
The Reckonings (Book): A great (and sobering) set of essays
The Mortician (TV): So good, and what a wild story
F1 (Movie): I’m so not a racing guy (though my wife has recently become a big fan), but this was fun, and pretty much exactly what I needed it to be
Pee-wee as Himself (TV): What a career, and what a bummer that he’s gone
Ballerina (Movie): Solid, and I’d definitely watch more of action star Ana
Smoke (TV): This just started, but already very promising
Implosion: The Titanic Sub Disaster (Movie): If you know me, you’ll know that this was my catnip
Titan: The OceanGate Disaster (Movie): Along with the other one too, obvs
Trainwreck: Poop Cruise (TV/Movie): I would watch like 10 more parts of this
Repo Man (Movie): I’d seen it (at last) for the first time last year, but had a blast talking about it again with the crew
Black Mirror (TV): Very late to the new season, but glad it’s as bleak as ever
The Gilded Age (TV): Glad it’s back, along with our dog’s favorite celebrity (Pumpkin the Cavalier)
Stick (TV): Ted Lasso for golf, but it has its own charm
Mountainhead (Movie): Dumb and enjoyable
Hannah Einbinder: Everything Must Go (TV Movie): Huge fan of her, loved this whole set
Trainwreck: Mayor of Mayhem (TV Movie): What a legend
The Bear (TV): Encouraged so far by the new season as a return to form
A Minecraft Movie (Movie): Jack Black definitely gave it his all, but (as an old) this definitely didn’t change my life
Tires (TV): Yeah the main dude is problematic, but I still very much enjoy this little show
Cold Case: The Tylenol Murders (TV): I watched the last one, obvs was gonna watch this one
Twitter: Breaking the Bird (TV): Knew the story and the players, but it was just as soul-crushing to see it all recapped
