The Chair Company

Media Diary (October 2025)

Here’s some stuff I’ve experienced lately (and not necessarily only new releases). In addition, our free Stream Team community has a lot more daily action happening on the recommendations front too. 💪

The Chair Company (TV): It would be difficult for me to love this more

One Battle After Another (Movie): Fantastic and epic, but bummed at how it performed at the box office

Carnality (Book): Enjoyed its wild little world

Version History (Podcast): Targeted square at me (an old nerd)

Mr. Scorsese (TV): What a staggering career

John Candy: I Like Me (Movie): I got an early look at this a while back, and now that it’s out, glad that confirm that Candy does indeed seem to have been a pretty great guy

Monster: The Ed Gein Story (TV): I was riveted the whole time, despite it taking some wild artistic liberties

Psycho: The Lost Tapes of Ed Gein (TV): Amazing that this audio exists

Weapons (Movie): Loved the unhinged vibe

It: Welcome to Derry (TV): WHAT a cold open to a series 😬

Troll 2 (Movie): It’d had been a little bit since I’d been back to the fountain of knowledge, and it was great to bring in some new blood

Best Worst Movie (Movie): Obviously this was then the standard chaser (it’d been a long time since my last watch)

Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy (TV): As always, I’ll watch any and all Gacy material

My Father, the BTK Killer (Movie): Talk about an impossible situation to process

The Monster of Florence (TV): Just started this, but it’s gorgeous and compelling

Murdaugh: Death in the Family (TV): I did some light Murdaugh-ing a while back, feels good to return

Into the Void (TV): Not sure that “enjoyed” is the right word, but I was intrigued by every episode

Nightmares of Nature (TV): Generally dumb, but sometimes that’s what you need (and great footage!)

Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars (TV): It’s like real-life Carmy!
