Pluribus

Media Diary (November 2025)

Here’s some stuff I’ve experienced lately (and not necessarily only new releases). In addition, our free Stream Team community has a lot more daily action happening on the recommendations front too. 💪

Pluribus (TV): Unsurprisingly astounding

Pluribus: The Official Podcast (Uh, Podcast): The companion podcast is also loose, fun and fascinating

Bugonia (Movie): Just the insanity I needed from Yorgos

Death by Lightning (TV): So good, and I would love to expand the American history cinematic universe tbh

The Naked Gun (Movie): Laughed a lot more than I expected

Decoder (Podcast): I’d dabbled here and there, but it’s now in my regular rotaysh

The Shuffle (Movie): This song was an absolute pillar of my childhood, and it was hilarious to see how they jammed Payton and McMahon in after the fact

The American Revolution (TV): Still plowing through this, but they really aren’t kidding about history rhyming

Wicked: For Good (Movie): Obviously a trickier movie given the nature of the show’s second half, but I enjoyed it overall

Aileen: Queen of the Serial Killers (Movie): I wasn’t super familiar with her story, and wow was it far more nuanced than I expected

Monster (Movie): I don’t think I’d ever actually seen this, and Charlize was remarkable

I Love LA (TV): Everyone is completely insufferable, but I kinda love it

Ballad of a Small Player (Movie): More vibes than anything else, but worth a watch

Fire and Water: Making the Avatar Films (TV): Cameron is absolutely insane in the best possible way

A House of Dynamite (Movie): Heard pretty polarized reactions to this, think I land somewhere in the middle

Palm Royale (TV): Enjoyed the first season, we’ll see how this one holds up

Down Cemetery Road (TV): Just started, but definitely along for the ride
