Here’s some stuff I’ve experienced lately (and not necessarily only new releases). In addition, our free Stream Team community has a lot more daily action happening on the recommendations front too. 💪
The Pitt (TV): It’s official, after fully catching up (at last), I’ve been diagnosed with a bad case of Pitt Fever
If I Had Legs I’d Kick You (Movie): LOVED this, really rooting for Rose to win Best Actress
Will There Ever Be Another You (Book): This was wild and almost impossible to follow, but it reminded me (for better or worse) a lot of how my own mind works, so I was kind of into it
General Magic (Movie): These people basically invented the world we now inhabit
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms (TV): Love the smaller scope and general tone
After The Hunt (Movie): Was super into this, and Julia remains incredible
The Beauty (TV): This show is batshit, but I’m fully on the train
Cover-Up (Movie): This guy just can’t get enough of cover-ups, what a legend
Star Trek: Starfleet Academy (TV): I never knew I needed “Space Hogwarts” in my life, but I’m a fan, to say nothing of my love for Holly Hunter’s inability to sit normally
Tom Petty: Somewhere You Feel Free (Movie): I’ve always been a huge fan, but I’ve been on a real Wildflowers binge lately, so this was amazing to watch
Zardoz (Movie): I’d never seen it (aside from pics of the outfit), and it was really something
Filmworker (Movie): Talk about getting “called” to another path, what a journey for this guy
Smiles and Kisses You (Movie): Shockingly awkward, sweet and fascinating (all in equal parts)
Who Done It: The Clue Documentary (Movie): Far more low-budget than I expected, but still a great look at this eternal classic
Becoming Led Zeppelin (Movie): What I would’ve given to see them live back in their prime
Jaws @ 50: The Definitive Inside Story (Movie): Just staggering that this movie full-on created the concept of a blockbuster
Riefenstahl (Movie): An intriguing look at a wildly problematic figure
The Stringer: The Man Who Took the Photo (Movie): Fascinating to see the controversy behind one of the world’s most recognizable photos
Adventures in Babysitting (Movie): One of my all-time favs, and it was great to discuss it with the crew
Leprechaun (Movie): It’d been a while, and it obviously still has the juice
Tron: Ares (Movie): Had some fun moments, but overall pretty forgettable
