Here’s some stuff I’ve experienced lately (and not necessarily only new releases). In addition, our free Stream Team community has a lot more daily action happening on the recommendations front too. 💪
DTF St. Louis (TV): This show is incredible
Project Hail Mary (Movie): Really great (and worth seeing on the biggest screen you can), and I’ll now always associate the screening with this mindblowing encounter outside the theater
The Hitch (Book): For some reason our book club has been going deep on “dog possession” stories lately, and I’m not mad about it
Born to Bowl (TV): I’m always a sucker for deep dives into random subcultures
Fukushima: A Nuclear Nightmare (Movie): I tore through the drama version of this story a while back, so this documentary was also amazing/horrifying
Paradise (TV): It’s always a bit goofy but still super watchable, and I remain a “Sinatra” stan
loudQUIETloud: A Film About the Pixies (Movie): Have recently gotten big into the Pixies (decades late), so this was fascinating
Daredevil: Born Again (TV): Already heating up again after just the first episode
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze (Movie): Was able to see it again on the big screen, which was everything I needed it to be (yeah the first one is the better movie by far, but counterpoint…ninja rap)
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters (TV): This show remains exactly what it needs to be, keep those monsters coming!
Leprechaun: In the Hood (Movie): Celebrated St. Patrick’s Day in style with a rewatch of this “classic” (which is far more entertaining/terrible than I remembered)
Surviving the Jehovah’s Witnesses (TV): Still need to finish the second part, but it’s obviously right up my alley
Edward Scissorhands (Movie): My oldest son wanted to rewatch this classic, and I can confirm that it definitely still has the juice
