Media Diary (November 2023)

Here’s some stuff I’ve experienced lately (and not necessarily only new releases):

Bodies (TV): This caught me totally by surprise, and completely consumed one of my weekends

The Killer (Movie): Not the most complex plot in the world, but I still found it super gripping

The Curse (TV): Cannot wait to see where this goes

Fingernails (Movie): I found it fascinating that this took place in an impossible-to-pinpoint era, and I’ve decided that Jessie Buckley is maybe my favorite working actress

Love Has Won: The Cult of Mother God (TV): Honestly too many jaw-dropping moments to choose from, I wouldn’t even know where to start

Milli Vanilli (Movie): Man did these guys get screwed over

A Murder at The End of The World (TV): A fantastic vibe, and I’m intrigued to see where they take it

The Insurrectionist Next Door (Movie): A tough line to walk when letting these people tell their stories, but I feel like she did a great job overall

For All Mankind (TV): This (criminally) never gets the credit it deserves

Escaping Twin Flames (TV): I’ll unapologetically watch every one of these

Pain Hustlers (Movie): Fully enjoyed this, as much as one can “enjoy” something about the opioid crisis

Fargo (TV): This can be hit and miss some seasons, but so far this one’s off to a fantastic start

The Gilded Age (TV): Our dog’s favorite show is back, and we’re along for the ride

Stamped From The Beginning (Movie): Really wish the many people that need to watch this would actually watch this

Doctor Who: The Star Beast (TV): After a rough past few seasons (not Jodie’s fault!), this was an amazing breath of fresh air

Behind The Attraction (TV): They straight-up included an episode devoted just to the food at Disney parks, and I still watched it like a madman

The Enfield Poltergeist (TV): Unsettling, and I loved the choice to have actors lip-sync with the source audio

Get Gotti (TV): I was only loosely aware of his epic story, so this was fascinating

How To Become a Mob Boss (TV): Loving this “How To Become a…” series, keep ’em coming
