Too Much Kyle: The App

Back in January, I wrote about how over the past several years I’ve actively worked to decentralize my online presence and reduce (as much as is realistic) my use of giant social media platforms.

Since it’s not realistic to expect my followers to join me on these wild journeys, I made a little site called Too Much Kyle that weaves all of my cross-service activity together into one place, with options to subscribe to it all via RSS or email.

Now I’ve taken things up a notch with an official iOS app!

This is the “premier” Too Much Kyle experience, and features the following goodies:

  • Ability to get push notifications for new updates

  • Multiple home screen widget options to see the latest updates at a glance

  • A visually-rich feed across all sources, along with the ability to create a “For You” feed that only surfaces content for topics you care most about

  • Dedicated tabs that notify you about new posts for my newsletter, blog or Vitamin (C)haos project

  • Audio mode! Press the speaker icon on any post’s detail page to listen vs. read (you can even background the app and listen while on the go)

  • Spotlight search support (find a post you remember by searching anywhere across iOS and jumping right to it within the app)

If you’re an iOS user, I’d be honored if you’d give it a go!
